The Pico Players 10th Anniversary
Capturing a Milestone: The Pico Players’ 10th Anniversary Concert at Cadogan Hall
TODDCS captured the remarkable celebration at Cadogan Hall: the 10th-anniversary concert of The Pico Players. Our role was to photograph this milestone, capturing the performances, emotions, and excitement that defined the evening.
The Concept
The Pico Players, an orchestra founded in 2014 by Patrick Massey and Rosie Wintour, came together to celebrate a decade of making music. Their mission of raising money for charities through orchestral performances has brought together people from diverse backgrounds united by a shared love of music and giving back. This concert, featuring pieces by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven, was not just a musical journey but a celebration of community, passion, and charity.
For TODDCS, the goal was to capture every aspect of this event, from the musicians' anticipation in the rehearsal to the dynamic moments of the performance. We aimed to document the joy and dedication that have fuelled this orchestra for ten years, creating a visual story of the Pico Players at work.

We arrived early taking time to capture shots of Cadogan Hall’s classic architecture, which set a majestic backdrop for the evening. As the Pico Players rehearsed, we took candid shots that highlighted the preparation and teamwork required for such an event.
This behind-the-scenes documentation brought out the personalities of the musicians, from their focused expressions to the moments of enjoyment.
During the concert, we focused on key performance moments, using a combination of wide shots to showcase the orchestra and close-ups to highlight individual musicians.
